Home Automation Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Home Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain smart home technologies that enhance comfort, security, and energy efficiency. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IoT systems, smart devices, networking, and automation protocols, along with a passion for integrating innovative solutions into residential environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy home automation systems including lighting, HVAC, audio-visual, security, and energy management solutions.
• Program and integrate smart devices and controllers using platforms such as KNX, Z-Wave, Zigbee, Lutron, Crestron, Control4, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and contractors to plan system installations in new or existing homes.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system malfunctions to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Provide user training and documentation for homeowners on system features and operation.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in IoT, smart devices, and home automation platforms.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety, quality, and industry standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2–5 years of experience in home automation, IoT, or related technology fields.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of home automation protocols (Z-Wave, Zigbee, KNX, BACnet, etc.).
• Experience with control platforms such as Crestron, Control4, Savant, or similar.
• Proficiency in networking (wired/wireless), IP configurations, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C/C++, or proprietary automation languages) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with sensors, smart lighting, climate control, and security systems.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
