Job Description

As a Product Manager for General Insurance products, you will play a crucial role in driving the product strategy and roadmap across various channels. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding the larger industry and organizational priorities to develop a clear roadmap for owned products - Prioritizing the roadmap effectively and communicating it to a diverse audience including management, central leadership, regional leadership, and other teams - Bringing new insights and ideas by leveraging industry knowledge, competitive analysis, regulatory changes, and technology innovations to drive business growth - Demonstrating a data-driven approach while also being comfortable in dealing with ambiguous situations using sound business acumen - Having a minimum of 10+ years of experience in product management within the financial industry - Possessing excellent problem-solving and design skills to define clear problem statements, user scenarios, use cases (including edge cases), and underlying assumptions - Adopting an ownership attitude to ensure product adoption by the target audience - Collaborating effectively and demonstrating leadership skills to work with a diverse set of colleagues and drive execution without direct authority Moreover, your role will involve: - Driving General Insurance Product across channels and taking responsibility for achieving set targets - Ideating and exploring ways to increase business through drives, campaigns, and contests - Incrementally adding to topline growth by enhancing the overall value proposition of the product and identifying cross-selling/up-selling opportunities - Planning strategies by understanding business dynamics, conducting gap analysis, interacting with key stakeholders, and framing implementation plans - Designing and implementing product positioning, messaging, and Go-To-Market Strategy across offline and online channels - Ensuring high-quality launch materials, customer presentations, and sales training - Keeping track of the latest market offerings and developments to stay updated and contribute to market intelligence Critical competencies for success in this role include: - Analytical Skills - Domain Knowledge - Good coordinating skills - Project Management capabilities - Problem-Solving abilities - Ability to lead a team and foster growth within the team Key Interactions will involve collaborating with: - Sales and Distribution Team - General Insurance Product Team - Process, Operations, Underwriting, Marketing, and IT teams - Key General Insurance stakeholders Measures of success will be based on: - Quantity of Business Numbers achieved - Quality and impact of Business Numbers resulting from initiatives and drives from the Central Office,
