Location: Hosur
Job Purpose
To lead the end-to-end Supply Chain function covering Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Development, Logistics, Stores, and EXIM operations. The role is responsible for designing and executing strategic initiatives that ensure material availability, cost efficiency, supplier reliability, and full compliance with statutory and company standards.
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
Formulate and implement the organizations supply chain strategy aligned with business and production goals.
Drive cost optimization, lead-time reduction, and working capital efficiency.
Lead cross-functional coordination between Production, Quality, Finance, and Projects for demand planning and sourcing alignment.
Build a resilient and sustainable supply chain through risk assessment, alternate sourcing, and digital enablement.
Vendor Development & Strategic Sourcing
Identify and develop strategic vendors for raw materials, capital goods, and consumables.
Establish long-term partnerships and contracts ensuring quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness.
Drive vendor performance monitoring, audits, and continuous capability improvement.
Negotiate commercial terms and finalize rate agreements, MoUs, and SLAs.
Promote localization and supplier diversification to mitigate dependency risks.
Procurement Excellence
Oversee all procurement operations including RFQs, techno-commercial evaluations, and purchase order approvals.
Establish robust procurement policies, processes, and delegation of authority.
Implement and monitor e-procurement systems and ERP controls.
Ensure ethical sourcing, transparency, and adherence to corporate governance.
Logistics & Distribution
Strategize and manage domestic and international logistics for inbound and outbound materials.
Optimize freight cost, route planning, and carrier performance through data analytics.
Maintain relationships with logistics partners, 3PLs, and freight forwarders.
Ensure compliance with transport safety, statutory regulations, and delivery KPIs.
Stores, Inventory & Material Planning
Establish inventory planning models based on production forecasts and lead times.
Oversee material receipt, preservation, and issue processes ensuring accuracy and traceability.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without excess stock.
Lead digital transformation in warehouse management (barcoding, 5S, FIFO, automation).
Coordinate regular stock audits and ensure compliance with financial controls.
EXIM (ExportImport) Management
Supervise import/export operations including documentation, customs clearance, and statutory compliance.
Liaise with DGFT, customs, and financial institutions for licenses, incentives, and LC management.
Ensure smooth coordination with CHA, freight forwarders, and port authorities.
Track and optimize duty benefits, foreign exchange exposure, and regulatory filings.
Cost, Compliance & Governance
Drive year-on-year cost reduction through value engineering, process improvement, and vendor collaboration.
Ensure compliance with legal, environmental, and audit requirements.
Present periodic supply chain performance reviews to senior management.
Build and lead a high-performance SCM team, fostering continuous learning and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
B.E & MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain / Operations Management.
Should have min. 2025 years’ experience SCM functions preferably in Manufacturing Industry related to Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Skids, Furnace industry.
At least 6+ years in a leadership role with handling multiple functions.
