Role Overview

This is a Senior Manager level position .We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead the Supply Chain Management (SCM) function at our large-scale cattle feed manufacturing plant in Sirhind. The Head SCM will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, vendor management, and distribution. The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep expertise in optimizing cost, efficiency, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials (grains, additives, packaging) ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely availability.
• Negotiate contracts, build strategic partnerships with suppliers, and monitor supplier performance.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements in sourcing.

2. Inventory & Warehousing

• Oversee raw material and finished goods inventory across plant and warehouses.
• Implement robust inventory management systems to reduce wastage, shrinkage, and stock-outs.
• Drive automation and process improvement in warehouse operations.

3. Logistics & Distribution

• Manage outbound logistics and distribution network to ensure timely delivery to dealers, distributors, and regional depots.
• Optimize transportation costs, route planning, and fleet management.
• Coordinate with sales teams to align supply chain with market demand.

4. Supply Chain Planning & Strategy

• Forecast demand in collaboration with sales, production, and finance teams.
• Implement ERP-driven planning and reporting systems.
• Continuously improve processes to achieve efficiency, scalability, and cost competitiveness.

5. Team Leadership & Compliance

• Lead and mentor the SCM team across procurement, logistics, and warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, industry regulations, and company policies.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in Engineering/Commerce/Agri-Business; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations preferred.
• 1218 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, with significant exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, or agro-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, ERP systems, and inventory management.
• Proven ability to drive cost savings, vendor development, and supply chain optimization.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
