Head - Raw Material (FA & GYPSUM)

Purpose/Objective

End to end responsible for managing the sourcing, procurement, and supply chain functions for raw materials. This position offers the opportunity to lead and optimize the procurement processes while contributing to the growth and success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Lead the procurement raw material team and oversee the sourcing and procurement of raw materials required for cement production. • Develop and implement strategic procurement strategies to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of raw materials. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and secure the best quality materials. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and optimize inventory levels while minimizing holding costs. • Monitor market trends and identify potential risks or opportunities related to raw material supply, pricing, and availability. • Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental standards in the sourcing and procurement processes. • Implement innovative solutions to streamline procurement operations and enhance efficiency. • Provide leadership and mentorship to the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier management to senior management. • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall procurement and supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.

Technical Competencies

Comprehensive understanding of raw material procurement in the Cement industry,Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale procurement operations,Expertise in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations,Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software,Sound knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification : BE /B Tech Experience Experience : 20-25 years of progressive experience in the Cement industry. Demonstrated track record of success in Raw material procurement leadership roles.
