Qualifications & Experience:

Qualification: Graduate in Engineering with 15 to 18 years of experience in a Hydro Sales - Spares & Refurbishments.

Roles and Responsibilities:-

The Head Spares & Refurbishment is responsible for drawing the revenue of the company to become the globally dominant player in the spares & refurbishment business of hydro power project. The person in this position is expected to build sales and marketing strategies, systems and processes that will result in closing sales through building enduring relationship with customers, reps and business partners as well as execution of projects within the estimated budget and agreed timelines and ensuring that the relationship with the customer is maintained at all times.

Strategy Planning

  • Formulate the Marketing strategy in line with overall business goals to maximise revenues, grow market share and increase profitability
  • Ensure consistent achievement of order booking targets as per developed sales plan Assign sales targets to each team member and conduct monthly reviews to ensure that the revenue targets are achieved.
  • Build and sustain enduring relationships with customers
  • Build and sustain enduring relationships with the key stakeholders of the supply chain
  • Be responsible for manpower planning based on the annual business plan
  • Be responsible for completion of the project (spares/ service) as per the order.

Market Development & Relationship Management.

  • Develop and sign up new customers in line with the Marketing strategy; partner customers in meeting their business goals while maximising revenue opportunities for the Company in spares and refurbishment.
  • Build & monitor go-to-market strategy to ensure achievement of sales and revenue targets for the spares & refurbishment
  • Responsible for marketing and branding of BFLs products and services in India and abroad for market reach and revenue maximisation.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with all stakeholders of the project to ensure smooth functioning of the project and proactively inform them about the project status.
  • Handle all customer complaints and issues and ensure that they are resolved at the earliest , thus building an enduring relationship with the customer.
  • Act as the sole authority from BFL for the project when dealing with customers for all matters except those relating to extension of credit.

Budgeting & Operations and Project Management

  • Monitor sales budgets, forecasts and operational plans to ensure that the sales targets are exceeded and revenue maximisation is achieved.
  • Supervise the bid costing process to maximise margings and increase profitability; use experience / judgment to bid for business and ensure closure of orders
  • Negotiate to maximise margins, increase profitability and share of business wherever applicable to leverage internal production capabilities.
  • Discuss the progress of each project (with regard to quality, budgets and time) with the customer
  • Review and approve the cost control sheet (for bought out items) submitted by the project buyer or procurement
  • Ensure the dispatch of quality goods to the project sites in time
  • Monitor the handing over of project designs to the E & C team for erecting the project site.

Relationshilp Building

  • Build, own and maintain enduring relationships with customers and deliver high customer satisfaction levels by ensuring compliance to customer schedules
  • Build enduring relationships with vendors to ensure accuracy in project costing
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and build lasting relationships with internal teams to ensure receipt of timely support.

Promotion and Brand Management

  • Implement a branding strategy to enhance the companys reputation / positioning in the market and create a brand image for the BFL product line; develop key brand messages and brand communications to increase brand recall
  • Establish copy strategy & media plan and design advertising campaigns to enhance visibility and sales
  • Promote the Company through alternate channels such as tradeshows, exhibitions, association meetings, industry seminars etc
  • Proactively perform trade and consumer media relations necessary to increase media exposure including managing external PR resources.
