Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic R&D Project Leader to drive innovation and lead product development initiatives across our range of medium domestic home appliances. The successful candidate will oversee cross-functional projects from concept to market launch, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end product development projects in categories such as: Air Coolers Lighting Products Kitchen Chimneys Personal Grooming Appliances (e.g., trimmers, hair dryers) Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and marketing to ensure timely and successful project execution. Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and risk assessments. Ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards (BIS, IEC, RoHS, etc.). Drive innovation in materials, technologies, and user-centric design. Oversee prototyping, validation testing, and design reviews. Foster a collaborative environment to encourage new ideas and continuous improvement. Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies for efficient R&D processes. Collaborate with suppliers and external partners on technology integration and sourcing. Required Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field. 10–15 years of proven experience in R&D or Product Development in the home appliances or consumer durables industry. Strong understanding of design principles, electronics integration, and manufacturing processes for consumer appliances. Hands-on experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a matrix organization . Familiarity with design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Knowledge of regulatory requirements and testing certifications relevant to consumer products. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Attributes: Experience in launching products for both domestic and export markets. Exposure to IoT or smart appliance integration is an advantage.
