Role & responsibilities

As the Head of Projects, you will be the driving force behind our project delivery excellence, spearheading the entire lifecycle of our factory interior and MEP projects. This is a strategic leadership role where you will shape the project vision, drive operational efficiency, and ensure the profitable and timely execution of our entire project portfolio. You will be a key member of the leadership team, directly influencing the company's growth and reputation.

Your core responsibilities will encompass:

  • Strategic Leadership & Project Oversight:

    • Shape and execute the overarching project strategy, ensuring all initiatives are perfectly aligned with the company's business goals and growth objectives.
    • Provide executive oversight for a diverse portfolio of factory interior, MEP, HVAC, utilities, and networking projects, from conception to final handover.
    • Drive a culture of excellence, ensuring every project is delivered on time, within budget, and surpasses client expectations for quality and safety.
    • Serve as a key advisor to the Managing Director/COO, providing comprehensive reports on project performance, key risks, and strategic opportunities.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and performance goals, conducting regular reviews to ensure professional growth and alignment with project targets.
    • Cultivate cross-functional synergy between the design, procurement, and execution teams to create a seamless and integrated project delivery process.
  • Financial & Commercial Acumen:

    • Champion the financial health of the project portfolio by approving budgets, overseeing forecasts, and implementing robust cost-control measures to ensure maximum profitability.
    • Lead the end-to-end tendering and bidding process, evaluating the commercial and technical feasibility of new opportunities to secure high-value, profitable projects.
    • Drive value engineering initiatives and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to optimize costs without compromising on quality or integrity.
  • Quality, Safety & Client Relations:

    • Champion a zero-compromise approach to quality and safety, implementing rigorous control processes, audits, and risk management systems across all project sites.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships to ensure satisfaction and secure repeat business.
    • Resolve complex technical and operational challenges decisively, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.

Preferred candidate profile

We are searching for a visionary and strategic leader with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial projects. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented professional who combines deep technical expertise with exceptional commercial acumen and the inspirational leadership skills to build and guide a world-class project delivery team.

  • Experience:

    • A minimum of

      12 to 20 years of comprehensive experience

      in the industrial construction sector, with a

      mandatory 8 to 10 years in a leadership role managing factory/industrial projects.

    • Demonstrable success in managing a portfolio of multiple, large-scale projects simultaneously, specifically within the

      Factory Interiors, MEP, HVAC, Utilities, Electrical, and Networking

      domains.
    • Extensive experience in tendering, contract negotiation, and P&L management, with a clear history of driving profitability and business growth.
  • Education & Certifications:

    • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • A Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.
  • Skills & Attributes:

    • Strategic Leadership:

      You are a visionary leader capable of setting a clear direction, inspiring a large team, and making decisive, high-impact judgments.
    • Commercial & Financial Acumen:

      You possess a deep understanding of project finance, costing models, and contract law, with the ability to drive profitability and identify new business opportunities.
    • Technical Expertise:

      You have an expert-level knowledge of MEP systems, industrial construction methods, and are proficient in project management software (Primavera, MS Project).
    • Communication & Influence:

      You possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders at all levels, and your internal teams.
