Head of Operations: Trucking & Customs Bonded Division

We are looking for a seasoned operations professional to lead our Trucking and Bonded Transport vertical across India. The role involves overseeing the entire operations setupfrom truck placement to ground execution—ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and compliance across teams and regions.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end trucking operations (general and bonded) across multiple locations in India.
• Lead and guide cross-functional teams including Customer Service, Truck Placement, Tracking, Ground Operations, and Customs Coordination.
• Streamline existing systems and processes to improve operational turnaround and accuracy.
• Continuously analyse movement data, performance trends, and operational bottlenecks to identify improvement areas.
• Design and implement process changes that enhance productivity, reduce delays, and ensure cost efficiency.
• Evaluate and investigate operational damages, delays, or mishaps, and develop preventive measures.
• Engage with key customers to understand business needs and increase share of wallet through enhanced service offerings.
• Coordinate closely with the Business Development and Finance teams for planning and execution alignment.
• Drive automation, digital reporting, and real-time visibility tools for process transparency and control.
• Build a strong operational culture focused on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate:

• Graduate/Postgraduate with 10–15 years of experience in trucking, transport logistics, or bonded operations.
• Proven experience in leading large, geographically spread operational teams.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and translate insights into action.
• Sound understanding of customs procedures, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Customer-focused professional with the ability to maintain relationships and identify business growth opportunities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and transport management software will be an added advantage.
