Head of Information Technology

The IT Head at Vidyashilp University will play a crucial role in overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the university's IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, and digital initiatives. Your responsibilities will include providing leadership in technology governance, ERP administration, network security, and digital transformation to enhance both academic and administrative efficiency. Your main responsibilities will involve developing and executing a comprehensive IT roadmap that aligns with the university's goals, managing IT budgeting and policy-making, overseeing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies such as NAAC, NBA, and AICTE. You will also be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized ERP modules for various university functions, along with ensuring seamless data flow across departments and integrating ERP with third-party tools. Moreover, you will oversee the campus-wide IT infrastructure, including server installation and management, network and cloud management, cybersecurity measures, and the smooth operation of smart classrooms, LMS, online assessments, and e-library systems. Additionally, you will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team, implement ITIL best practices, and evaluate emerging technologies for academic enhancement. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 8-12 years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in Higher Education Institutions. You should possess hands-on experience with ERP systems, project management skills, effective communication abilities, and a good understanding of database systems, API integration, and cybersecurity frameworks. Possessing relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP, or Microsoft/AWS solutions architect would be advantageous.
