Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire HR function and act as the

    Head of the HR Department

    with full ownership and authority.
  • Set up, design, and establish HR systems, processes, and policies from scratch

    across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement.
  • Drive

    end-to-end HR strategy

    , workforce planning, culture building, and organizational development.
  • Ensure

    100% statutory and labour law compliance

    including PF, ESIC, Shops & Establishment Act, Gratuity, Bonus, CLRA, Maternity Act, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Build and implement

    HR SOPs, employee handbook, and disciplinary procedures

    .
  • Lead and manage all HR operations for

    both white-collar and blue-collar employees

    , including attendance, shift management, payroll processing support, and grievance handling.
  • Partner with management for

    manpower planning, policy decisions, and long-term HR roadmap

    .
  • Implement and monitor

    performance management systems (PMS)

    , KRAs, and appraisal cycles.
  • Handle

    employee relations

    , conflict resolution, counselling, and maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead recruitment drives for all levelsstrategic hiring, senior hiring, and bulk/blue-collar hiring.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes to identify gaps and continuously improve efficiency.
  • Build, mentor, and guide junior HR staff as the team expands.
  • Act as a

    trusted advisor to the top management

    on people strategy, HR risks, and workforce planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 10-15 years of HR experience

    , with

    3 to 5 years in a leadership/HOD role

    .
  • Must have a

    proven record of building or setting up an HR department independently

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    labour laws, statutory compliance

    , and HR best practices.
  • A

    self-driven leader who requires no supervision

    and can take full charge from Day 1.
  • Experience managing

    both blue-collar and white-collar workforce

    .
  • Excellent communication, people management, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
