Head of Environment and Sustainability

Job Description

Role Overview: The position is responsible for steering the organization's sustainability agenda , focusing on environmental performance, ESG compliance, and reporting . This includes leading key projects, ensuring transparency in disclosures, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. Key Responsibilities: Lead organization-wide initiatives in carbon footprint reduction, water stewardship, and natural resource management Oversee GHG accounting, Scope 3 emissions planning, and decarbonization strategies, including internal carbon pricing Ensure timely and accurate submission of ESG reports and questionnaires (CDP, DJSI, EcoVadis) Drive continuous improvement in ESG scores through benchmarking and targeted initiatives Prepare disclosures as per GRI standards and SEBI-BRSR framework , and manage external assurance processes Monitor environmental CSR programs and track their effectiveness Support governance bodies such as the Sustainability Steering Committee with research and reporting Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 14 years in sustainability and ESG, with strong expertise in global reporting frameworks and environmental accounting Postgraduate degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Energy, or a related discipline
