Job Description
1. Develop and periodically update Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2. Ensure timely updating of HSE processes to meet international standards.
3. Periodically review the HSE Policy and update the same through continuous inspections and market scanning.
4. Study developments in the industry to keep abreast of industry trends, best practices and changes in the regulatory framework in the area of HSE.
5. Lead the development and implementation of a HSE framework and Safety Manual for the organization.
6. Oversee the monitoring and record keeping process for all HSE processes.
7. Develop the Department budget and ensure adherence to the same.
8. Lead the process of acquiring various HSE certifications and accreditations for the organization. Represent the organization at various meets/conferences on HSE issues and project the accomplishments in these areas.
9. Develop and manage framework and procedures for HSE inspections and investigations.
10. Oversee conduct of regular inspections & audits at all the department.
11. Ensure compliance to statutory requirements and organizational HSE standards.
12. Ensure worthiness and effectiveness of various HSE systems.
13. Review and ensure timely preparation of inspection reports as per approved inspection plans.
14. Drive the maintenance of a database of all HSE notifications, inspection documents, certifications and other related documentation.
15. Review and analyse accident investigation reports, and advise management on remedial action plans.
16. Recommend action plans to the team to prevent recurrence of such accidents.
17. Drive integration of environmental and sustainability requirements into HSE policies and procedures.
18. Continuously monitor and inspect pollution levels.
19. Manage and ensure effluents (solid, liquid and gas) are within prescribed statutory limits.
20. Organize and conduct training programs on HSE regulations and policies across the organization and with the sub-contractors.
21. Conduct periodic workshops at project sites to spread HSE awareness.
22. Identify potential risks and accident areas and ensure proper display of the same.
23. Ensure total compliance with all mandatory HSE regulations. Minimize penalties due to HSE violations.
24. Assess HSE risks at the organizational and project level.
25. Formulate the HSE Risk Mitigation Plan to minimize potential costs.
26. Review Department MIS and ensure periodic reporting of the same to the Top Management.
