Head of Cyber Security

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity services globally from Bengaluru, including risk assessments, threat management, security architecture, cloud security, incident response, and compliance.
• Define and implement cybersecurity delivery frameworks, governance models, and best practices to ensure high quality and consistent service delivery across global clients.
• Drive strategic initiatives to scale the cybersecurity practice, optimize resource utilization, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with global leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams to align cybersecurity solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global cybersecurity delivery team fostering innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Lead client engagements, ensuring client satisfaction, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting cyber risk advisory and transformation services.
• Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards, frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and regulatory mandates.
• Develop and present executive-level reports and insights on cybersecurity program status, risks, and improvements.
• Manage partnerships with technology vendors and service providers to leverage innovative security solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through metrics, feedback, and adoption of emerging security technologies and methodologies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
• Total of 20 years plus experience with a minimum of 12+ years of experience in cybersecurity with significant exposure in program delivery, consulting, or professional services.
• Proven leadership of large global delivery teams and complex cybersecurity programs.
• Expertise in cybersecurity domains such as cloud security, threat intelligence, governance, risk management, incident response, and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, cybersecurity frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent client management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels including senior executives.
• Experience working in or with global professional services or delivery organizations.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, and multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel as per business needs.
