Its Noida operations serve as a key hub for manufacturing, supply chain coordination, and commercial functions, supporting a broad portfolio of high-demand products.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Cost Accountant to lead and expand the Costing function for a fast-growing FMCD organization. The ideal candidate has 15 years of hands-on experience and has previously set up or scaled a complete costing department in an organization with 1000+ crore annual turnover.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for building robust costing systems, improving cost visibility, and driving profitability through strong cost controls and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Costing Leadership & Strategy

• Establish and lead the entire Costing Department, including processes, systems, governance, and reporting frameworks.
• Develop cost accounting policies in alignment with FMCG manufacturing and multi-SKU environments.
• Provide strategic inputs to senior management on cost optimization, pricing decisions, and margin improvement.

Product Costing & Analysis

• Oversee product costing, BOM reviews, SKU-wise profitability, and variance analysis across plants and product categories.
• Ensure accurate computation of standard costs, actual costs, and cost revisions based on raw material fluctuations.
• Lead cost audits, yield analysis, wastage control, and process efficiency studies.

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Partner with finance, supply chain, and operations to develop cost budgets, standard cost rollouts, and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor deviations and provide actionable recommendations to control overheads and production costs.

Systems & Process Implementation

• Implement or upgrade ERP-based costing modules (SAP/Oracle/other).
• Introduce automation and digital tools to strengthen cost tracking and real-time reporting.
• Establish internal controls across procurement, production, and inventory to ensure costing accuracy.

Team Management

• Build and mentor a high-performing costing team.
• Provide leadership across plants and business units to strengthen the costing culture and operational discipline.
• Establish harmonized and close coordination within the finance and other functional teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Cost Accountant (CMA) is mandatory.
• 15+ years of costing experience in FMCG, consumer products, or large-scale manufacturing.
• Proven track record of setting up a costing department in an organization with 1,000 crore+ turnover.
• Strong understanding of FMCG manufacturing, multi-SKU environments, packaging materials, and supply chain cost drivers.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and costing modules.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
