Job Description – Head/GM Electrical & Automation (Integrated Steel Plant) Role Overview:-We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical & Automation Leader with strong expertise in managing large-scale projects and operations within integrated steel plants. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation systems, with a proven track record of executing complex projects, leading teams, and implementing cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency and performance. Skills & Knowledge:- Educational Qualifications & Certifications BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. ii. Total Years of Experience20–25 years of experience in electrical project execution, operations, and maintenance within the steel industry. iii. Functional Skills Extensive experience in execution of electrical projects for integrated steel plants, including: Blast Furnace Sinter Plant Coke Oven Pellet Plant Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation with in-depth knowledge of all integrated steel plant areas. Strong familiarity with new technological developments in the steel industry. Expertise in automation technologies (including Level 2 systems) and digitization. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with hands-on Operations & Maintenance (O&M) experience. iv. Behavioral Skills:-Leadership: Lead by example, be a strong team player, and capable of taking on challenging targets. Possess a strategic outlook to devise and execute strategies as per business needs. Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively and act upon it. Open to constructive criticism. Innovation & Inspiration: High on innovative thinking; able to inspire teams to continuously explore new and effective solutions aligned with evolving industry requirements. Key Responsibilities:-Lead execution of electrical, instrumentation, and automation projects across integrated steel plants. Drive operations and maintenance excellence, ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime. Implement latest automation, digitalization, and technological solutions to optimize performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects within timelines and budgets. Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing technical team. Engage with senior leadership to align electrical/automation strategies with organizational goals.
