Position Title: Head Bakery Chef – Turkish Bakery & Pastries Location: Hyderabad, India Type: Full-Time Experience: 8+ Years (Minimum 3 years in Turkish/ Mediterranean baking) About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head Bakery Chef to lead the baking operations for our upcoming Turkish bakery and pastry restaurant in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be an expert in traditional Turkish baked goods and pastries, have a flair for innovation, and possess strong leadership and team management skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop, plan, and execute an authentic menu of Turkish breads, pastries, and desserts (e.g., simit, borek, baklava, ekmek, kurabiye, etc.). Manage and train a team of bakers and kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality production and hygiene standards. Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of bakery products. Collaborate with restaurant management on seasonal menus, specials, and product innovation. Maintain inventory, order ingredients, and monitor costs to ensure minimal wastage. Enforce food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in line with FSSAI and internal guidelines. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of bakery equipment. Provide regular training and mentorship to junior staff. Stay updated with bakery trends and bring innovation while respecting Turkish culinary traditions. Required Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Culinary Arts or Pastry & Bakery from a recognized institute. Minimum 8 years of experience in bakery & pastry operations, with at least 3 years focused on Turkish or Middle Eastern baking. Strong understanding of traditional Turkish techniques, ingredients, and presentation. Experience in leading kitchen teams and working in fast-paced environments. Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for artisanal baking. Preferred Skills: Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience with setting up or launching new bakery kitchens preferred. What We Offer: Competitive salary based on experience.
