Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of AI Platforms & Technology to lead the design, development, and scaling of Centrix's upcoming AI-driven healthcare platforms.

You will report directly to the CEO and lead an independent technology function responsible for driving architecture, AI integration, DevOps, and security collaborating closely with product and content teams to translate vision into reliable, compliant, and intelligent digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

AI & Machine Learning Integration

• Integrate LLM and generative AI frameworks (OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face, etc.) into Centrix AI platforms.
• Design and refine retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, embeddings, and prompt logic to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with AI consultants and data engineers to maintain model precision, compliance, and performance.

Platform Architecture & Development

• Lead architecture and full-stack development (Node.js, Python, React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Build modular, secure, and scalable systems supporting multiple therapy areas and user tiers.
• Integrate APIs, cloud services, and third-party data repositories.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

• Architect solutions on AWS or GCP ensuring uptime, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Build CI/CD pipelines, manage Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform setups, and automate deployments.
• Maintain continuous monitoring and optimisation of cloud spend.

Security, Compliance & Data Governance

• Implement and monitor HIPAA, GDPR, and UCPMP-compliant systems.
• Enforce data encryption, access control, and audit logging.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and compliance reviews.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Define and execute Centrixs AI and technology roadmap under CEO direction.
• Lead a small internal engineering team and manage external vendors.
• Collaborate with clinical and content experts to structure and validate medical datasets.
• Represent Centrix in external tech and innovation forums.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-12 years of experience in software architecture, AI integration, and full-stack engineering.
• Strong command of Node.js / Python / React / Next.js / GraphQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB.
• Proven experience with LLM APIs, RAG workflows, LangChain / LlamaIndex / Pinecone / Qdrant.
• Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS / GCP), CI/CD, and containerization (Docker / Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with healthcare or edtech platforms preferred.
• Sound knowledge of security standards and healthcare data governance.
