Hardware & Networking Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for providing hardware and networking support, network administration, server maintenance, IT asset management, user support, compliance, and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues for end users. - Perform regular system upgrades and preventive maintenance. - Set up and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, and access points. - Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure minimal downtime. - Manage firewall and network security configurations. - Maintain file servers, email servers, and internal databases. - Perform routine backup operations and ensure data security and recovery measures are in place. - Maintain an inventory of all IT assets. - Manage the procurement and disposal of hardware and networking equipment as per policy. - Provide timely support to plant and office staff for IT-related issues. - Train users on new hardware or software systems as needed. - Ensure compliance with IT security protocols. - Document network configurations, changes, and incident resolutions. Qualification Required: - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, troubleshooting, and repair. - Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. - Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and basic server management. - Knowledge of IT security practices and backup systems. - Problem-solving attitude with excellent communication skills. - Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment is preferred.
