Let's delve into the key aspects of your job: **Key Responsibilities:** - **Financial Reporting & Analysis:** - Prepare and present precise financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports. - Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial performance with budgets and forecasts. - Offer strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data. - **Cost Management & Budgeting:** - Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring precise allocation of costs for each project and department. - Review and track construction-related costs like raw materials, labor, and overheads. - Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting processes for various projects and departments. - **Taxation & Compliance:** - Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations pertinent to the infrastructure and construction industry. - Supervise GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance, encompassing filing and documentation. - Engage with auditors and tax authorities for timely and accurate filings. - **Internal Controls & Audit:** - Establish and enforce internal accounting controls to prevent fraud and ensure accurate financial reporting. - Lead internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and resolving audit queries promptly. - **Team Leadership & Collaboration:** - Guide and mentor a team of junior accountants and assistants. - Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure financial accuracy across all projects. - **Cash Flow Management:** - Monitor and manage the company's cash flow to guarantee sufficient liquidity for day-to-day operations and project needs. - Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks. - **Project Accounting:** - Track and report financial performance for construction projects, including cost control, profitability analysis, and forecasting. **Qualifications & Skills:** - **Education:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Professional certification like CA, CMA, or CPA is highly preferred. - **Experience:** - 7 to 10 years of accounting experience, with a focus on construction or related industries. - Proven expertise in managing project-based financial operations and reporting. - **Technical Skills:** - Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, ERP/QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms. - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables, financial modeling, and data analysis. - **Knowledge:** - In-depth understanding of construction finance, cost accounting, and financial reporting specific to infrastructure and building sectors. - Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax laws relevant to the industry. - **Soft Skills:** - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. - Effective communication skills to interact with senior management, vendors, and clients.
