A Hardware and Network Engineer

designs, implements, maintains, and troubleshoots network hardware and infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability for an organization's systems. Key responsibilities include configuring routers and switches, managing firewalls and VPNs, monitoring network traffic, and replacing defective hardware components. Also to provide technical support, maintain documentation, and collaborate with other IT teams on projects and network upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Design & Implementation:
• Design, build, and deploy LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud network infrastructures.
• Install and configure network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

· Maintenance & Management:

• Perform routine maintenance, health checks, and upgrades on network hardware and software.
• Replace defective hardware components and perform root cause analysis for hardware defects.
• Manage network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.

· Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to resolve outages and ensure optimal speed and reliability.
• Provide technical support and resolve hardware and network-related problems for end-users.

· Documentation & Collaboration:

• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and application development teams on new projects and system optimizations.

Key Skills & Knowledge

• Network Technologies: Deep understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and protocols like MPLS and IPsec.

· · Hardware: Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

· · Security: Experience with firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and network security protocols.

· · Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud networking on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is often required.

· · Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for hardware and network issues.

· · Certifications: Relevant certifications from vendors like Cisco, Microsoft, or CompTIA can be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
