Hardware & Network Engineer

Job Summary:

The Hardware and Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading all hardware components and network infrastructure within the organization. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability of systems to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Maintenance & Support

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops and servers.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues for end-user devices and network equipment.
• Manage inventory of IT hardware assets and ensure timely upgrades or replacements.

Network Administration

• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and other networking equipment.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network uptime.
• Implement and maintain LAN, WAN, and VPN connections across office locations.
• Perform regular network security checks and patch management.

System & Server Management

• Install and maintain operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and basic server roles.
• Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery readiness.
• Manage user access, permissions, and authentication systems.

Security & Compliance

• Enforce IT security policies, firewall rules, and antivirus protections.
• Support implementation of cybersecurity measures and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, hardware inventory, and maintenance logs.

Technical Support

• Provide Level 1 and 2 support for hardware, networking, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware procurement and issue resolution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.

Experience:

• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in hardware and network management.

Technical Skills:

• Experience with network equipment (Cisco, Mirotic, HP, or similar).
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
• Understanding of IT security tools (firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection).
• Knowledge of virtualization, cloud systems (optional but preferred).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
