Position-Guest Service Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and well-presented individual to join our luxury hotel as a Guest service Associate. This is an excellent opportunity to start your career in the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Guest Service – Greet guest courteously upon arrival and provide a warm welcome. Handle check –in and check –out procedures efficient according to hotel standards .Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions .Assist guests with special request and ensure prompt follow up .Manage guest complaints professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Reservations and Room Management- Process room reservation through phone, email, or online system .Update room status, availability, and guest details accurately in the PMS .Coordinate with housekeeping for room readiness and special requirements .Apply effective upselling techniques to maximize room revenue.
  • Cashiering and Billing – Prepare and settle guest folios accurate during check-out .Handle cash, credit card and foreign currency transaction as per policy .Maintain a balanced cash float and ensure accuracy in shift reports .post all charges, payments and adjustments correctly in the system .
  • Coordinate and Communication- Coordinate effectively with housekeeping, Maintenance, and F&B for guests needs. Communicate relevant guest information to concerned departments .Maintain daily hand over reports and ensure accurate log entries. Attend departmental briefing and training sessions regularly.
  • Administration and Reporting-Maintain guest registration records and room status report .Assist in preparing occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction reports. Ensure adherence to hotel policies, SOPs and statutory regulations –Maintain confidentiality of all guests and hotel information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality diploma preferred)
  • experience in customer service / front office / hospitality (freshers may be considered)
  • Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and a warm, approachable personality.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Calicut - 673014, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative Assistants & Receptionists: 1 year (Preferred)
