Sukoon Health is building India's first specialized chain of hospitals to cater to acute and severe mental health conditions.
We plan to set up 1000 beds across 40 units for adult, acute inpatient care across India. Additionally, we have aspirations to expand into specialized segments of de-addiction, child development disabilities, dementia care, etc.
The Group Head – Psychology Services (Part-Time) will provide strategic clinical oversight, supervision, and mentorship to Sukoon’s psychology teams across centres. The role focuses on enhancing clinical quality, maintaining governance standards, and building professional competence through structured supervision and training. This position supports Sukoon’s commitment to evidence-based, ethical, and patient-centred psychological care — without requiring full-time administrative involvement.
1. Clinical Supervision & Governance
• Provide regular clinical supervision to psychologists across Sukoon centres (individual and group formats).
• Review complex or high-risk cases, offering clinical direction and second opinions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to Sukoon clinical protocols
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards, documentation protocols, and Sukoon’s clinical governance framework.
• Support the development and refinement of psychological care SOPs, assessment templates, and therapy documentation standards.
2. Mentoring & Professional Development
• Mentor early-career psychologists and foster reflective clinical practice.
• Facilitate monthly clinical training sessions
• Promote continuing professional development (CPD) in advanced therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practice.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted upskilling or certification opportunities.
3. Quality & Outcome Oversight
• Support the design and implementation of quality indicators and clinical outcomes for psychological care.
• Participate in periodic monthly clinical review meetings, MDT meetings for complex patients and peer reviews.
• Contribute to Sukoon’s overall patient outcome measurement framework for therapy effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
4. Collaboration & Advisory Role
• Collaborate with the Psychiatry and Nursing leadership to strengthen multidisciplinary clinical collaboration.
• Advise the leadership team on new trends, research, and innovations in psychological care.
• Support the selection and onboarding of new psychologists through interview panels and clinical evaluations.
• Education: M.Phil or Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 3–5 years of supervisory or senior clinical leadership experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in CBT, DBT, trauma-focused, or integrative psychotherapies.
• Strong background in supervision, training, and ethical governance.
• Experience in hospital-based or multidisciplinary mental health setups preferred.
• Part-time engagement (e.g., 3 x ½ days per week)
• Focused on clinical supervision, training, and quality assurance — no day-to-day administrative responsibilities.
• May include remote supervision sessions and periodic in-person visits across centres.
