Grievance Officer

Role & responsibilities

1. Grievance Handling

• Receive and acknowledge grievances from students, staff, or parents through designated channels.
  
• Maintain a proper record of all complaints, including date, nature of complaint, and parties involved.
  
• Ensure that every grievance is addressed promptly, impartially, and confidentially.
  

2. Investigation & Resolution

• Conduct fair and unbiased inquiries into complaints.
  
• Collect statements, evidence, and relevant information from all concerned parties.
  
• Coordinate with school management, counsellors, or disciplinary committees where needed.
  
• Recommend appropriate actions or corrective measures based on findings.
  

3. Communication & Reporting

• Keep all parties informed about the progress and resolution of the grievance.
  
• Submit periodic reports to the Principal or Grievance Redressal Committee.
  
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of cases for record and compliance.
  

4. Policy Implementation

• Ensure adherence to school grievance policies, child protection, and safety guidelines.
  
• Update and recommend improvements to the grievance policy as required.
  
• Ensure compliance with CBSE/State Education Board norms regarding grievance redressal mechanisms.
  

5. Awareness & Prevention

• Conduct awareness sessions for students and staff about grievance procedures, rights, and responsibilities.
  
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment to minimize grievances.
  
• Identify recurring issues and suggest preventive strategies.
  

6. Coordination & Confidentiality

• Work collaboratively with counsellors, class teachers, and management for effective redressal.
  
• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information throughout the process.
