Government Relations Manager

Role & responsibilities

The Government Liaison Officer will be responsible for managing communication and coordination between the organization and various government bodies. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and facilitating smooth execution of government-initiated projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and government agencies (central, state, and local).

* Facilitate approvals, clearances for government-initiated projects.

* Develop and maintain relationships with key officials in government departments relevant to the project.

* Monitor regulatory and policy changes affecting the project and advise the internal team accordingly.

* Coordinate documentation and communication for government reporting, project updates, and audits.

* Assist in the preparation of proposals, MoUs, and other documents related to public-sector engagements.

* Attend government meetings, hearings, and other relevant public events as a company representative.

* Track the progress of submitted files/applications with government departments and follow up to ensure timely approvals.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors or Masters degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.

* Strong understanding of government processes, compliance norms, and policy frameworks.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in local language and English.

* Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.

* Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
