Position: General Manager Operations for a Snacks/food processing co at Hosur.

Industry:

Minimum 15 years experience as a Senior manager /GM Operations in any spices/Snacks/Masala category.

Role Overview

The General Manager Operations will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, operational excellence, quality compliance, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations with strong exposure to

  snacks, masala, spices, or FMCG food manufacturing

  .
• Deliver production results in line with business targets through effective coordination with

  Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Logistics, R&D, Maintenance, and Utilities

  .
• Develop and implement operational strategies and systems to enhance

  productivity, efficiency, and throughput

  .
• Ensure smooth workflow integration across all manufacturing teams and maintain optimal plant performance.
  
• Drive

  continuous improvement initiatives

  , process control, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement, including

  automation initiatives

  .
• Implement and sustain

  Lean Manufacturing practices

  to achieve operational excellence and customer commitments.
• Ensure product quality is maintained within defined specifications and manage timely delivery for

  domestic and export markets

  .
• Possess thorough knowledge and ensure compliance with certifications such as

  AGMARK, EIA, FSSAI, ISO 22000, FSSC

  , and other applicable standards.
• Collaborate closely with the

  Sales team

  to ensure timely dispatch and fulfillment of customer orders.
• Prepare and present

  MIS reports

  (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) as per management requirements.
• Foster strong team building, leadership development, and maintain a positive and performance-driven work culture.
  
• Ensure adherence to

  statutory compliances

  , industrial safety norms, and overall plant governance.

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience in

  Food Processing / Snacks / Spices / FMCG manufacturing

  .
• Strong exposure to multi-functional plant operations and large-scale manufacturing environments.
  
• Graduate / Post Graduate in

  Engineering / Food Technology / M.Sc Food Technology

  .
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  
• Willingness to relocate and work at

  Hosur

  .
