You support system activities in a specific process area, including analysis, design, and overseeing the implementation of system changes to increase effectiveness and efficiency aligned with corporate strategies.

How you will contribute

Working in a cross-functional environment, you will collaborate closely with global and regional teams to optimize SAP and integrated non-SAP systems and processes, translating business needs into functional requirements. You will define what the capability must achieve and how success will be measured and ensure that solutions are robust, strategically aligned and efficient to deliver and maintain. To succeed in this role, you must understand integration points in an integrated ERP system (i.e. SAP ECC), standalone, SAAS, and control systems and effectively interact with senior management from business and technology disciplines to keep them informed and to present highly complex solutions.

About the role

The Mondel z Consumer Solutions Global MDS (IT) Team is looking for a forward-thinking GenAI Tech Lead / Solution Architect to own the technical strategy and architectural roadmap for our global marketing GenAI ecosystem. This role is crucial for harnessing AI to drive creative innovation while maintaining a thoughtful balance between responsible AI principles and data privacy. The successful candidate will be the primary technical authority, responsible for reviewing and signing off on solution designs from our system integration (SI) partners. They will also be responsible for guiding implementation strategies for new features and clearly communicating the technical trade-offs to senior business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define the technical strategy and architectural roadmap for the Marketing GenAI ecosystem, ensuring it scales to meet the future needs of our global marketing organization.

• Guide and oversee the technical development and architectural design of the agentic GenAI platform at a global level, focusing on creative production, scalability, and seamless integration.

• Partner with senior business stakeholders and product manager to translate high-level marketing objectives into robust, scalable, and innovative GenAI solutions.

• Review and approve solution designs from our SI partners, ensuring alignment with our strategic vision, architectural principles, and technical standards.

• Drive the strategy for integrating diverse data sources and systems across the GenAI ecosystem, ensuring robust, secure, and compliant data flows for creative assets.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to detail technical specifications, roadmaps, and quality standards, with an emphasis on achieving top-tier performance, security, and privacy benchmarks.

• Champion Responsible AI (RAI) principles across all GenAI initiatives, ensuring a thoughtful balance between innovation, ethical considerations, and data privacy. This includes upholding stringent adherence to Mondel zs Infosec and Privacy standards and applying privacy by design principles throughout the GenAI lifecycle.

• Direct interactions with Enterprise Architecture and Product teams to guide technology selections, favoring scalable and cost-effective solutions for creative generation.

• Explain complex technical trade-offs and implementation recommendations for use case features to business users and other non-technical stakeholders.

• Manage technical relationships with external partners (e.g., System Integrators), including reviewing their work and ensuring accountability for architectural integrity.

Required Skills:

• Deep expertise in GenAI, with a proven track record of architecting and deploying agentic systems for creative production (images, video, and text). This includes hands-on experience with LLMs, diffusion models, and orchestrating their outputs in multi-step workflows.
• Proficient in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, with hands-on experience in architecting and deploying scalable cloud-based solutions for GenAI model training, deployment, and inference.
• Advanced skills in data integration techniques, ETL processes, and familiarity with APIs and web services for connecting disparate data sources in a secure and efficient manner.
• Extensive experience in leading technical teams, managing complex IT projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and operating in Agile work processes.
• Robust background in machine learning operations (MLOps) and digital transformation initiatives, with a strong understanding of data-driven AI strategies and analytics.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical visions and architectural trade-offs to both technical teams and senior business leadership.
• Strategic and analytical thinker, adept at setting technical direction, prioritizing projects, and mobilizing teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Eager to embrace new technologies, methodologies, and industry developments, with a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth.
• Familiarity with GCPs analytics and machine learning services, including BigQuery, Vertex AI Platform, and their application in enhancing consumer insights and personalization efforts.
