Global Key Account Manager Sales

The Global Key Account Manager will be responsible for driving strategic business growth through managing and expanding relationships with leading Global OEMs. The role demands strong engagement at CXO and senior management levels of OEMs, delivering long-term partnerships, revenue growth, and value creation. The incumbent will serve as the primary interface between the organization and its key global customers, ensuring alignment of business strategies, product innovation, and supply chain excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and implement global account strategies for top OEMs aligned with organizational growth objectives.
  • Drive multi-year business plans, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for strategic tie-ups, joint ventures, or collaborations with OEMs.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management / CXO-level executives of global OEMs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to OEM customers, understanding their business challenges and providing customized solutions.
  • Manage conflict resolution and ensure long-term customer satisfaction and retention.

Business Development & Growth

  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and global agreements with OEMs.
  • Track global automotive industry trends, new technologies, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance) to deliver tailored solutions.

Financial & Performance Accountability

  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets for assigned OEM accounts.
  • Monitor key performance metrics (order book, revenue realization, market share, customer satisfaction).
  • Prepare and present business reviews and forecasts to senior management.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure flawless program execution.
  • Align product innovation roadmap with OEMs future mobility strategies (EV, hybrid, autonomous, etc.).
  • Partner with regional/global sales teams to ensure consistency in execution across geographies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education

    : BE/B.Tech (Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical) with MBA in Sales & Marketing (preferred).
  • Experience

    :
    • 15-20 years of experience in Sales / Key Account Management in auto component manufacturing.
    • Proven track record of handling large OEM accounts at a global or regional level.
    • Exposure to international markets and global supply chains.
  • Skills

    :
    • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills at senior levels.
    • Strategic thinking with business acumen.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a matrix, multicultural environment.
    • Strong financial understanding of contracts, margins, and profitability.
