GIS Developer

• Location- Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi NCR, Mumbai
  

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS applications using industry-standard technologies and tools
• Implement spatial data models and integrate geospatial data from various sources
• Utilize GIS APIs and libraries (like ArcGIS, QGIS, or Leaflet) to create interactive maps and visualizations
• Perform spatial analysis and support data analysis projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align GIS solutions with business objectives
• Optimize GIS database performance and ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Provide support and training to colleagues on GIS tools and applications
• Stay current with geospatial technologies and best practices in GIS development
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in GIS software and tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, etc.)
• Experience with GIS programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
• Familiarity with spatial databases (PostGIS, Spatialite) and query languages
• Knowledge of web mapping technologies (Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Google Maps API)
• Strong understanding of geospatial data formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, etc.)
• Experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geographical Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS development or a related role
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
