About The Opportunity

• Translate and localize product titles, descriptions, attributes, and marketing copy from English to German and vice versa with high linguistic fidelity and brand voice.
• Perform linguistic QA and proofreading to ensure consistency with style guides, tone rules, and SEO keyword placement for German markets.
• Manage and maintain German termbases, glossaries, and translation memory to improve speed and quality across projects.
• Collaborate with product, catalog, marketing, and customer-support teams to resolve linguistic issues and optimize content for conversion.
• Support German-language customer interactions (email/chat) and moderate user-generated content when required, escalating product or policy issues.
• Track metrics for quality, turnaround time, and localization impact; suggest process improvements and automation opportunities.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Must-Have
• Native or professional fluency in German (C1+); strong command of written and spoken English.
• 2+ years experience in translation/localization, preferably for e-commerce, retail, or product catalogs.
• Proven attention to detail with experience in linguistic QA, style-guide enforcement, and working with spreadsheets/CAT tools.
• Preferred
• Experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados, memoQ) and translation memories/terminology management.
• Familiarity with SEO localization, keyword mapping, and optimizing product content for search and conversion.
• Prior exposure to customer support workflows, CMS/PIM systems, or marketplace platforms.
