Role:

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient respiratory and general medicine care, including diagnosis and management of asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, tuberculosis and respiratory infections.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures: bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, PFTs, thoracic ultrasound and, where available, EBUS—ensuring procedural safety and documentation.
• Manage acute respiratory failure and critically ill patients in ICU settings—initiate and titrate invasive and non-invasive ventilation and coordinate with the multidisciplinary critical care team.
• Lead evidence-based treatment planning, prepare discharge summaries, and follow-up plans; ensure appropriate use of antibiotics, steroids and biologics per protocols.
• Participate in TB control initiatives, respiratory clinics, and local public health programs; support diagnostic stewardship and infection-control practices.
• Mentor junior clinicians and nursing staff, contribute to clinical audits, and maintain high standards for documentation, consent and patient safety.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Pulmonary Medicine OR MD/DNB in General Medicine with significant pulmonology experience
• Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council
• Proven experience performing diagnostic & therapeutic bronchoscopy and thoracic procedures
• Competence in mechanical ventilation and NIV management in ICU settings
• Strong ability to interpret pulmonary function tests and chest imaging
• Current certification in ACLS and infection-control best practices
  

Preferred

• Experience with EBUS and advanced interventional pulmonology procedures
• Prior work in tertiary-care hospitals or high-volume respiratory units
• Training or experience in sleep medicine (polysomnography interpretation)
