About the Role:

General Manager – Wood Adhesives

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and market share targets in the wood adhesives segment.
Lead P&L responsibilities, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
Identify new business opportunities, product innovations, and channel expansion.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, OEMs, carpenters, contractors, and institutional clients.
Oversee production, supply chain, quality, and customer service functions in alignment with company objectives.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategy.
Drive marketing, branding, and promotional initiatives to strengthen market positioning.
Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams for high performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and safety standards.

Key Requirements:

Education:
MBA/PGDM preferred, with a background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum
15–20 years
of experience in the
wood adhesives / construction chemicals / building materials industry
, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of
P&L management, business expansion, and sales leadership
.
Strong network and market knowledge within adhesives, wood coatings, or related segments.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational excellence.
