General Manager

As the Head Plant Operations, you are expected to bring over 20 years of experience in Structural Steel Fabrication, Welding, and related manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to lead plant operations towards achieving financial and operational excellence by implementing continuous system improvements, best practices, and cost-effective production techniques. You will be required to focus on enhancing manpower productivity, reducing production cycle time, and ensuring optimal utilization of equipment, materials, and human resources to drive productivity and optimization. It will be crucial to monitor inventory levels rigorously to maintain efficient production cycles and minimize downtime. Ensuring customer satisfaction through on-time delivery of high-quality fabricated products that meet cost and quality benchmarks is paramount. This will involve exceeding customer expectations and fostering strong relationships. Creating a positive workplace culture and building a cohesive team will be essential. You will need to champion employee engagement and leadership development to attract, retain, and motivate skilled personnel at all levels. Strategic planning for growth, including capacity expansion and process enhancements, in collaboration with senior management will be a key focus area. Key competencies for this role include proven expertise in plant operations within structural steel fabrication and welding environments, knowledge of TQM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles, and strong techno-commercial acumen. Experience in managing Greenfield and Brownfield projects, along with excellent planning, scheduling, and coordination capabilities, are also required.
