Job Description

We are hiring for Government Sales professional for our organization based out at Noida Sector - 127. Interested candidates can apply in case of having good exposure into Govt sector.

Role Overview

General Manager Government Sales

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Government Sales

  • Develop and execute a government sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with central/state ministries, public sector enterprises, tourism boards, museums, and educational institutions.
  • Lead RFP/tender participation, proposal submissions, contract negotiations, and closure of government deals.

Government Relations & Lobbying

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with policymakers, bureaucrats, and government stakeholders.
  • Monitor policy changes, funding cycles, and government priorities to align Altrviews solutions accordingly.
  • Represent Altrview in government forums, exhibitions, and conferences to enhance visibility and credibility.

Client & Project Engagement

  • Act as the single point of contact for government clients throughout the sales and delivery cycle.
  • Collaborate with internal design, technical, and operations teams to ensure project commitments are met.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring projects are delivered in line with government expectations.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Build, mentor, and lead a regional sales team to strengthen pan-India presence.
  • Coordinate with marketing, strategy, and finance teams to ensure proposals are competitive and commercially viable.

Travel & Market Presence

  • Undertake extensive travel across India for client meetings, presentations, and on-site engagements.
  • Maintain strong regional presence to ensure consistent business visibility

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in Government Sales / B2G sector.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and delivering large-scale government projects.
  • Strong understanding of public procurement, tendering, and contract management processes.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong government lobbying and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with high accountability.
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring capabilities.
  • High adaptability to extensive travel requirements.
