Job Description

Role: Head of Marketing and Portfolio Management, Emerging Markets Department.

Experience: 15-25 years of pharmaceutical Marketing and Portfolio Management Function

Qualification: Science Graduation plus MBA

Location: Hyderabad, Corporate Office.

Reporting to: Head of Emerging Markets

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead a team of regional marketing leads and Portfolio Manager for Emerging markets.

Marketing Responsibilities:

• To develop marketing plans for the region including B2B markets.

o To handle various brands in the same product portfolio

o To enhance prescription base and prescriber base

• To identify and introduce new products in different markets.

• To formulate trade offers and incentives to achieve budgeted sales.

• To monitor product wise contribution and pricing to maximize profits of the division.

• To devise timely promotional inputs for field personnel and trade to create awareness.

• Budgeting and allocation of resources.

• Brand review primary, secondary analysis, data analysis, course correction.

• Aligning strategies to divisional business plan for medium and long term.

• Enhancing In-clinic effectiveness.

• Customers connect and customer data base.

• Training and Development of field force.

• Coordinate amongst various CFTs for miscellaneous issues resolution and strategy implementation.

• Strong hold on the regulatory environment of the region.

Portfolio Management Responsibilities:

• Lead the portfolio management department.

• Ideation and commercialisation of products to fulfil portfolio gaps and for potential entry into geographies/therapeutic areas.

• Commercial evaluation of different products and co-ordinate with CFTs for development, filing and formulating go to market strategy.

• Review filing status on monthly basis, intervene and ease bottlenecks.

• Work close with Business Development team to gather market intelligence.

• Co-ordinate with Regulatory Affairs team to support the business development on a regular basis.

• Advertising agency for designing and execution of Promo inputs

• Vendors

• Printers for Co-ordination to ensure quality and timeliness are met

• Distributors For Sale & Market Feedback

• Scientific trainers and consultants

Internal Contacts:

• SCM – For Production related issues, New Products, Cost reduction.

• Field – For Sales Planning, Market feedback

• Market Research – For market data

• Central Purchase – for raising gift items and print inputs PRs.

• Legal – For Trademark related queries

• Regulatory – for various regulatory issues

• Finance – For Profit Plan working, Budgeting.

Competencies Required:

Technical Competencies:

• Experience in International pharma marketing will be an added advantage, but not mandatory

• Proficient in MS-office (Word, Power point and Excel)

• Develop marketing strategy for creating required push and pull to enhance the presence of the company brand.

• Continuously evaluates sales data and information including competitive brands information and monitors own brand performance versus competition.

• New brand launches based on the overall business focus & strategy

• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.

• Knowledge of ethical marketing

• Knowledge of launching new products, increasing product portfolios, Life cycle management

• Good knowledge across therapy areas (Acute/chronic/Niche)

• Abreast with regulatory environment of different geographies

• Experienced in product ideation, product development, regulatory filing, developing go to market strategy, ensuring supplies, reviewing sales
