GCP Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP tools such as

  Cloud Dataflow

• Develop and optimize data models for analytics and reporting using BigQuery.
• Implement data quality, data governance, and metadata management best practices.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure data availability and reliability.
• Work with streaming data and batch processing frameworks to handle real-time data ingestion and processing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and ensure high availability.
• Develop automation and orchestration solutions using

  Cloud Functions

  ,

  Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)

  , or other tools.
• Ensure security, privacy, and compliance of data solutions in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills And Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role, with 4+ years specifically on GCP.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  BigQuery

  ,

  Cloud Dataflow

  ,

  Cloud Pub/Sub

  ,

  Cloud Storage

  Cloud Functions

• Proficient in SQL, Python, and/or Java for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing concepts, and data architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualification:

• GCP Professional Data Engineer Certification.
• Experience with Apache Beam, Airflow, Kafka, or similar tools.
• Understanding of machine learning pipelines and integration with AI/ML tools on GCP.
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
