Job Description

You will be responsible for the following key activities: - Evaluate Vendors facilities and capabilities based on new development before proceeding with the sample. - Guide and monitor the technical team to maintain standard operating procedures. - Closely follow up with merchandisers for any new development/samples, reviewing for any risk factors and ensuring product safety, especially for youth wear. - Gauge and track laundry processes, including chemicals application, liquor ratio, washer temperature, cycle length, in compliance with the set washing recipe. - Coordinate with Wash Technicians to educate and implement shade band/1st batch procedures to makers and laundries to ensure requirements are met before submission for approval. - Provide technical training and support to the makers" technical team to introduce and update sample handling SOPs and time frames. - Review and provide comments on the performance appraisal of subordinates. - Support communications and facilitate issue resolution during bulk production with merchandising and quality management. Qualifications required for this role: - Graduation in Textile/Apparel is preferred - Experience in both factory and buying/trading house settings - Solid knowledge of Denim and Non-Denim products is a strong advantage In addition to the above, we will be looking for the following skills and competencies in you: Skills: - Knowledge of garment fitting, pattern, relevant software, etc. - Self-motivated and well-disciplined to follow LWR SOP. - Able to work independently and act proactively. - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). - Able to communicate effectively with internal functions, vendors, and the Merchandising team. - Confident with a Can-Do attitude.
