Garment Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

Production Planning & Control

• Plan production schedules based on order quantity, style c omplexity, and delivery timelines
• Ensure smooth workflow across cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing
• Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions when required

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure garments meet quality standards, buyer specifications, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with Quality team to reduce rework and rejection
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices

Manpower & Team Management

• Manage supervisors, line leaders, and operators effectively
• Improve productivity through line balancing and skill utilization
• Conduct training and performance monitoring of production staff

Efficiency & Cost Control

• Monitor line efficiency, machine utilization, and material wastage
• Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, and Dispatch teams
• Ensure timely availability of materials and accessories
• Prepare and maintain production reports, efficiency reports, and delivery status

Safety & Discipline

• Ensure compliance with factory safety, health, and housekeeping standards
• Maintain discipline and a positive working environment on the shop floor

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of garment production processes and factory operations
• Excellent leadership and team-handling skills
• Production planning, line balancing, and problem-solving ability
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in uniforms, industrial garments, or technical clothing is an added advantage
