Role Summary

Ditansource is looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our remote development team. This is a part-time opportunity to work on live systems and real-world web applications that power a global freelancing platform. You’ll play a key role in building scalable and secure features and improving system performance across both front-end and back-end technologies.

You'll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver robust solutions that enhance user experience, security and platform functionality.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Build scalable backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and optionally Java

Manage and optimize MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases

Integrate and test third-party APIs using tools such as Postman

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Participate in code reviews, version control, and collaborative development using Git and GitHub

Work closely with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, test, and deploy new features

Identify and troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and ensure high system reliability

Basic application security knowledge

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Experience with Node.js and Express.js

Hands-on knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL databases

Familiarity with Java for backend development (optional, but a plus)

Understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and API integration

Experience using Postman or similar tools for testing

Proficiency with Git and working in collaborative development environments

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive learning mindset

A personal portfolio or GitHub profile demonstrating relevant projects is highly preferred
