Front-End React Native Lead (Expo)

About the role
We’re building a new mobile + web app in stealth. As our Front-End React Native Lead, you’ll own the app architecture and ship high-quality UI/UX across iOS, Android, and Web (PWA) from a single Expo codebase. You’ll guide one FE engineer, collaborate with backend, and keep performance, accessibility, and reliability front and center. (NDA required; details shared post-screening.)

What you’ll do

• Lead the React Native (Expo) codebase: Expo Router v5, TypeScript, Zustand state, feature flags.
• Build core flows end-to-end (auth/OTP, list & search screens, details pages, forms/modals, messaging UI, basic wallet screens).
• Ensure performance: FlatList virtualization, memoization, debounced search, skeleton loaders, error boundaries.
• Ensure accessibility: labeled CTAs, ≥48dp touch targets, contrast, keyboard support on web.
• Web/PWA: react-native-web parity, manifest + service worker, install prompt.
• Integrate device features safely via dynamic imports (expo-location, expo-image-picker) with web fallbacks.
• Code quality: TypeScript strictness, lint, small PRs, reviews, basic analytics hooks.
• Partner with Design (Figma) and Backend (API contracts/adapters); ship on a 2-week sprint cadence.

Must-have

• 5+ yrs Front-End; 3+ yrs React Native; 1+ yr Expo (SDK 50+; ideally 53).
• Strong TypeScript, Expo Router, react-native-web, and Zustand (or similar state).
• Proven performance work with large lists/pagination and stable keys.
• Platform-specific files & dynamic imports (.native.ts / .web.ts) experience.
• Production delivery to App Store/Play Store or PWA.

Nice to have

• Payments (Razorpay/Stripe), push notifications, analytics.
• Firebase (Auth/Firestore/Functions) or Node/Express + Postgres adapters.
• A11y, i18n, error-state microcopy.

What success looks like (90 days)

• Weeks 2–3: Stable navigation, OTP polish, list performance, error boundaries.
• Weeks 4–6: Forms & offers/approval flows, messaging (assigned-only), wallet demo screens.
• Weeks 8–10: PWA polish (manifest/SW), i18n scaffold, a11y pass, telemetry events.
• Week 12: Pilot-ready MVP with clean console and runbook.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
