Job Description

Patient Interaction: Greeting patients and visitors warmly, providing a positive first impression of the hospital.  Directing patients to the appropriate departments or staff members.  Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and taking messages.  Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.  Administrative Tasks: Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.  Maintaining and updating patient records in the hospital system.  Verifying insurance information and processing payments.  Handling billing inquiries and resolving related issues.  Organizing and maintaining the reception area, ensuring it is clean and presentable.  Filing medical records and other documents.  May also be involved in tasks like transcribing notes, preparing patient labels, and maintaining office supplies.  Communication and Coordination: Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.  Coordinating with other departments and medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.  Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and adhering to HIPAA regulations.  Skills and Qualifications: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using computer systems and medical office software. Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures (preferred). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A professional and compassionate demeanor.
