Freight Broker Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage freight bookings between shippers and carriers.
• Analyze transportation trends, lane rates, and capacity to make cost-effective decisions.
• Source and negotiate rates with reliable carriers for FTL and LTL loads.
• Monitor load statuses, track shipments, and resolve in-transit issues in real-time.
• Maintain accurate records of load documentation, contracts, and rate confirmations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Evaluate carrier performance and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
• Generate analytical reports on freight costs, trends, and operational KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and brokerage policies.

Requirements and skills :

• 1 year of experience in a freight brokerage role.
• Solid understanding of US/Canada trucking markets, freight classifications, and load types.
• Proficient in using freight load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and TMS platforms.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple loads and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of documentation such as BOLs, PODs, rate confirmations, etc.
• Familiarity with transportation compliance and FMCSA regulations is a plus.
• A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
