Role Description

We are seeking a Freelance Product Designer for a hybrid role based in Mumbai, with flexibility for remote work. The Product Designer will collaborate with our team to create innovative and functional designs that align with SilverNurture’s vision. Responsibilities include conceptualizing design solutions, creating prototypes, user testing, and refining designs based on feedback. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the designs are aligned with project goals and brand identity. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission of providing support for new mothers.

• Role: Product Designer (Project Basis)

• Location: Mumbai (preferred, or hybrid)

• Remuneration: ₹ 15,000 to 25,000 per design (Subjective to candidate qualification)

1. Understanding the Brand & Market – Study brand ethos, target audience, and positioning.

2. Research and Insights – Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor products.

3. Concept Development – Create initial sketches, mood boards, and ideation concepts.

4. Design & Prototyping – Develop 3D models and assist in creating prototype samples.

5. Validation & Refinement – Incorporate feedback and refine design details.

6. Design for Manufacturing – Prepare detailed CAD and technical drawings for production.

7. Branding & Packaging Direction – Suggest packaging ideas aligned with the design language.

8. Launch Support – Provide design-related assistance during product launch phase.

9. Collaboration – Work closely with brand, artisans, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and consistency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar programs
• Strong skills in prototyping, wireframing, and usability testing to create user-centric designs
• Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and product design methodologies
• Basic knowledge of sustainable and material-inclusive design processes
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in healthcare or postpartum product design is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field is preferred
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines in a hybrid work environment
