Freelance Azure Data Engineer (Remote | Long-Term)

Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Azure Data Engineer for a long-term freelance engagement (1 year+) . This is a remote opportunity to work with a forward-thinking team on cloud data engineering projects using the latest Azure technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory , Databricks , and Synapse Analytics Build and manage data lakes and data warehouses with Azure Data Lake Gen2 and Azure SQL Database Perform ETL/ELT transformations using SQL , Python , and Spark Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data deployments Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor , Log Analytics , and Power BI Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver clean, secure, and well-modeled data solutions Ensure data governance, compliance, and architecture best practices Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience in Azure-based data engineering Proficiency in Azure Data Factory , Synapse , Databricks , Azure SQL , and Data Lake Gen2 Strong programming and scripting skills in SQL , Python , and Spark Solid understanding of data modeling , warehousing , and pipeline orchestration Experience with CI/CD and tools like Azure DevOps Familiarity with monitoring tools: Azure Monitor , Log Analytics , Power BI Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) Experience with real-time data streaming (e.g., Azure Stream Analytics, Kafka) Exposure to big data environments and data governance tools like Purview , Informatica , or Data Catalog What We Offer Long-term contract (12 months or more) 100% remote work Opportunity to work on cutting-edge Azure projects Competitive freelance compensation Supportive and collaborative remote team culture 📩 Interested in this long-term opportunity?
