Founding Engineer

0 to 1 role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading the

  architecture, development, and deployment

  of the core application
• Designing and implementing a

  modern, intuitive mobile-first UI

• Creating fast, scalable APIs and backend logic
• Building and maintaining integrations (3rd party product APIs, analytics, etc.)
• Laying the groundwork for

  user data tracking

  , tagging, and feedback loops
• (Optional but a plus) Prototyping lightweight

  AI/ML-driven recommendation features

• Setting up the initial CI/CD, deployment, and cloud infrastructure

Requirements

Must-Have Tech Skills:

• Strong experience with

  mobile frameworks

  : React Native / Flutter / Swift / Kotlin
• Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React preferred)
• Backend: Node.js, Express, or Python/Django/Flask
• Database: MongoDB / PostgreSQL / Firebase / any modern DB
• Familiarity with

  RESTful APIs

  and 3rd-party integration
• UI/UX intuition: you should care about aesthetics and functionality equally

Bonus Skills:

• AI/ML: experience with any of the following:
• Recommendation systems
• Content-based filtering / embeddings
• User clustering or tagging via behavioral data
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Segment)
• Experience with affiliate APIs, scrapers, or e-commerce data
• Familiarity with cloud infra (AWS, GCP, Vercel, Firebase, etc.)
• Prior experience in 0→1 product environments or consumer startups

Preferred Background:

• IIT or equivalent Tier-1 engineering institute
• 1–5 years of experience, or exceptional college grads welcome
• Hungry, curious, and willing to take product ownership
