This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 20-30 LPA) Min Experience: 2 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time As a Founding Backend Engineer , you'll play a critical role in building the core systems of a fast-growing AI startup. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on hands-on development, designing scalable systems, and taking complete technical ownership of key product features. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to shape product direction, drive performance, and deliver high-impact solutions. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend systems using GoLang, Node.js, and MongoDB. Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs, integrating with authentication protocols such as Auth0, OAuth, and SAML. Architect systems that scale across regions, leveraging caching strategies (e.g., Redis) for optimal performance. Lead the development and deployment of microservices in cloud environments to handle high-volume traffic. Set up robust CI/CD pipelines and manage efficient Git workflows to ensure code quality, testing, and rapid iteration. Take ownership of feature lifecycles—right from idea and planning to development and deployment. Debug and solve challenging issues across the backend, integrations, and infrastructure layers. Stay updated with the latest tools and technologies to help future-proof the architecture and product roadmap. Who You Are: 2-4 years of strong backend development experience, ideally in high-growth startup environments. Proficient in GoLang and Node.js with a solid understanding of microservices architecture. Experience working with cloud-native applications, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems. Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and system design. Bonus: Contributions to open-source projects. A builder's mindset—own your code, move fast, and iterate quickly.
