As a Senior Network and Security Engineer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in our IT infrastructure team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, deploy, and maintain the campus network system and security architectures effectively. Your duties will include setting up, configuring, and maintaining the campus-wide network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. You will be involved in VLAN creation and management for optimized network segmentation, as well as SNMP implementation for network monitoring and management. Additionally, you will handle the installation, configuration, and administration of firewalls to enforce security policies and proactively identify and remediate network security breaches. Collaboration with other IT teams will be essential to ensure secure and efficient network operations. Your expertise in CCTV installation and maintenance will also be valuable for our organization. To excel in this role, you must have proven experience in enterprise network environments and possess a strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols. Experience with firewalls such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA is required, along with familiarity with SNMP, VLAN, and network monitoring tools. Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills are crucial for success in this position. Relevant certifications like CCNP, CISSP, Fortinet NSE, and Sophos are considered advantageous. Experience with CCTV/IP Surveillance systems will be beneficial for your role. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including cell phone reimbursement and health insurance. The work schedule is during the day shift, and a performance bonus is also offered. Key Responsibilities: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto , Fortinet , Cisco ASA/Firepower , Check Point , etc.). Manage firewall rules, NAT policies, VPN tunnels, and access control lists (ACLs) to ensure secure connectivity. Monitor firewall logs and alerts for potential threats, anomalies, or misconfigurations. Review and analyze firewall change requests to ensure alignment with security policies. Conduct regular firewall audits and rule cleanup to improve efficiency and reduce attack surfaces. Collaborate with network, security, and compliance teams on projects and incident response. Maintain documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and change histories. Stay up-to-date with new vulnerabilities, patches, and emerging firewall technologies. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. 3+ years of experience as a firewall or network security administrator. Hands-on experience with one or more firewall platforms such as: Palo Alto Networks , Fortinet FortiGate , Cisco ASA/Firepower , Check Point , or Juniper SRX Strong understanding of TCP/IP , routing , subnetting , NAT , and VPNs (IPSec/SSL). Familiarity with IDS/IPS , proxy servers , and next-generation firewall (NGFW) features. Proficient in security policy management and firewall rule lifecycle. Experience with log analysis and SIEM tools for security monitoring. Desirable Skills and Certifications: Relevant certifications such as: PCNSE (Palo Alto) , Fortinet NSE , Cisco CCNP Security , Check Point CCSA/CCSE , CISSP , or CEH Scripting or automation experience with Python , Ansible , or Bash . Sr. Network & Security Engineer Location : Chennai - Taramani (Work From Office) Notice : Short Period / Immediate Full time role RESPONSIBILITIES Design, deploy, and manage scalable enterprise network infrastructures focusing on Cisco switches and routing technologies. Configure and maintain next-generation firewalls, including Palo Alto, FortiGate, and Cisco Firepower NGFW. Administer F5 Load Balancers (LTM, ASM) to ensure high availability and secure application delivery. Manage the full SSL certificates and domain services lifecycle, including DNS configuration and domain registration. Implement, monitor, and support endpoint security platforms such as Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM), Trend Micro, and CrowdStrike. Perform ongoing threat monitoring, vulnerability remediation and incident response related to endpoints and network devices. Troubleshoot & resolve complex issues across network and endpoint layers, focusing on minimising downtime. Define/enforce network & endpoint security policies in alignment with compliance & organisational needs. Maintain detailed documentation of all infrastructure components, including network architecture, firewall configurations, SSL/DNS records, domain configurations, and endpoint security deployments. Collaborate with internal IT teams and business stakeholders to align security and infrastructure strategies with organisational objectives.
