Job Title : Food Packer

Department: Production / Kitchen

Reports To : Pass station Supervisor

Location : Khaleez Restaurant , Tirur

Job Description:

To ensure smooth and timely food service by coordinating between the kitchen and service/delivery teams. The Food Packer is responsible for checking food quality, accuracy, hygiene, and proper handover of dishes to maintain service standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Pass Station Operations

• Receive completed dishes from kitchen sections and arrange them properly on the pass counter.
• Coordinate with chefs to complete pending items within service timelines.

Order Accuracy & Quality Control

• Check food presentation, portion size, garnishing, and order accuracy before dispatch.
• Ensure all KOTs are matched correctly with prepared food items.

Service & Delivery Coordination

• Communicate with service staff and delivery team for timely pickup of orders.
• Ensure smooth and quick handover of food to dine-in or delivery staff.

Packaging & Takeaway Support

• Ensure proper packaging quality for takeaway and delivery orders.
• Assist with packing, sealing, and labeling of food items when required.

Hygiene & Food Safety

• Always maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pass station.
• Follow FIFO, food safety, and proper food handling procedures.

Issue Reporting

• Report any delays, shortages, or quality concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Support kitchen and service teams during peak hours.

Qualifications:

• Education: Basic education / Hotel Management certification preferred
• Experience: Fresher / 1–2 years in kitchen coordination, service support, or similar role
• Preferred: Experience in multi-cuisine or high-volume restaurants
