Food And Beverage Captain

Guest Service and Satisfaction: Greeting and welcoming guests, ensuring a positive first impression.  Taking orders, making recommendations, and answering questions about menu items.  Addressing guest complaints and requests promptly and efficiently.  Ensuring all guest requests are handled promptly and efficiently.  Monitoring guest satisfaction and taking corrective action as needed.  Staff Management and Supervision: Supervising and directing the work of servers, bussers, and other restaurant staff.  Conducting pre-shift briefings and providing guidance to staff.  Training and developing staff to ensure they meet service standards.  Ensuring staff adherence to service standards and company policies.  Operational Coordination: Coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.  Overseeing the set-up and maintenance of the restaurant or dining area.  Managing inventory and ensuring adequate supplies are available.  Monitoring and ensuring F&B service operations are running smoothly.  Sales and Revenue: Actively engaging in upselling and suggestive selling techniques to increase revenue.  Understanding menu items and being able to describe them effectively to guests.  Ensuring that all guests are served in a timely and efficient manner.  Other Duties: Assisting in recruiting, training, and supervising front-of-house staff.  Ensuring the staff members follow safety and sanitary standards and procedures.  Monitoring the inventory of supplies and equipment.  Managing event budgets and expenses.
